DB Partners: A Zoho® Case Study

 
 

Here at Makse Group, we provide a wide range of Zoho services for businesses at every stage of growth. In this blog post we’ll take a look at how we used Zoho’s powerful suite of applications to help an already successful small business take their operations to the next level.

The Client

DB Partners is a Development, Construction & Technology firm focused on designing, building, and scaling physical business presences across the United States. DB Partners was founded in New York City in 2019 and, thanks to their use of best-in-class processes and innovative solutions when managing construction and development projects, they quickly expanded to offices in San Francisco and Austin. 

The Problem

As DB Partners continued to grow, they began to notice that the business processes that served them well in the past were becoming too slow, too expensive, and did not scale well to larger projects. Without a centralized ERP system in place, DB Partners had inconsistent information scattered across several departments, they had no CRM system in place to drive sales, no formal proposal or invoicing tools, and no real-time financial reporting. This not only left a lot of room for errors, but also created a lot of extra work without providing clear KPIs. As one of the co-founders put it, “we wanted to spend more time growing the business and… less time doing administrative operational work.”


The Solution

DB Partners reached out to Makse Group looking for a software solution to centralize their metrics, consolidate their business processes, and automate their administrative tasks, and Makse Group was ready with a solution! Zoho One provides a comprehensive suite of applications that work collectively to run every aspect of a business, and that’s exactly what DB Partners needed. To ensure continued success for the growing company, Makse Group implemented and integrated several Zoho applications under the Zoho One operating system, including Zoho CRM, Zoho Deals, Zoho Proposals, and Zoho Invoices. 

 
 

The Results

After working with Makse Group to implement Zoho One, DB Partners reported less time spent doing administrative work, better control over project management, less overhead, and more profitability! In fact, their yearly revenue grew fourfold in 2021 and, as Blake, one of the co-founders, put it, “...while that's not all due to Zoho… we'd attribute certainly a portion of that to the implementation of Zoho & the help we got from Makse Group.” Blake also writes that

“Makse Group has done well to guide us in a direction we needed to better structure and scale our business while also listening to our needs and goals to steer us to where we want to be. Given their experience with other clients in other industries, we are able to learn from their lessons learned in the past that help us grow quicker and better than if we were left on our own to find an all inclusive business management tool like Zoho. Without Makse Group, we would've paid for something and never had the time to roll it out - they really drive our implementation and use and have our best interests in mind.”
