Savvy Life AV: A Zoho® Case Study

The Client
Savvy Life AV is a locally owned and operated, customer-centric company dedicated to providing cutting-edge home automation and control solutions in Denver, Colorado. Savvy Life was founded in 2016 when Isaac, the owner, decided to build his own brand of service after more than 20 years of doing smart home modifications and builds for other contractors. The business grew quickly due to Savvy Life’s unique and innovative solutions, but it soon became clear that there was a problem.
The Problem
As Isaac brought on more staff and began to design systems for the company it became increasingly difficult to get information out to employees, invoicing was falling behind, and Isaac had no idea if the company was profitable or not. As he put it, “our accounting was a mess.” The bookkeeping was done on an ad hoc basis, there was no Work-In-Progress accounting, and all the projects were being managed in a disorganized manner. Throughout his career, Isaac had worked with many companies that struggled with their business processes and tried to compensate with disjointed software, so he knew he needed an integrated end-to-end solution from the start. That’s when Isaac’s business coach at EMyth referred him to Makse Group in order to get his financial management house in order and enable him to get out of the technician role of preparing financials.
The Solution
After a thorough analysis of Savvy Life’s business processes, Makse Group was able to use their Zoho implementation and integration services to set up a solid foundation for the company’s business systems, define processes that move information in the right direction, and implement a CRM system that could grow with the changing needs of their business.
